Hello,happy new yr man.Last Sun i was involved in a civil emergency excercise named Northstar V.i was activated as a Ns men.so early in the wee hhours have to report back to camp.it was the first big scale excercise SCDF has done.it was done in a senario type and was done in the mrt.It would disrupt the travel of a lot of people going to or back to work.trained were acted as they were hit by bombs and chemical test.and us SCDF were to save the casualties.It was a good excercise.wat annoy me was a lot of passengers giving their comments.Passengers were annoyed as it disturb their travel time and was unhappy.they brush the excercise as nonsense and waste of time.and also the government is over reacting.wat i can say to these people. u may think it's nonsense or etc etc,when this thing really happen,i am sure the words will haunt u.The terrorists can attack anywhere including Singapore.so isn't it good for us to be prepared.remember pearl harbour.the Us wasn't ready for the attack and a lot of casualties died.Even Singapore at that time was controled by the British wasn't prepared to be attacked by Japanese soldiers from the north.Becoz of this Singapore was easily defeated.Prepartion is good.It will minimise the causalties and injuries.I am sure u people would depend on us SCDF if these things really happen.Without training and these kind of excercises ,we won't be prepared for these kinds of attack.i am sure u people will criticise of these kind of things happen and the govt wasn't prepared.i rest my case
